Things that happen when children learn to read

Scene: driving in the car on the way home from school.

Asher: Uhh, mom? Do you have a Chevron card?

Me: Umm, no.

Asher: Well why not?

We: Well, because I don't really want a Chevron card. I don't need one.

Asher: But if you get a Chevron card they give you CASH!

  2. hahahha! I love those conversations.

I have a recorder on my iphone and I've been recording some pretty cute 4 year old conversations. Both of my girls enjoy telling a good story and since their little voices change so much I try and record them/video tape em while they're just doing their thing! :D

    Happy Wednesday!

  3. Adorable! Yes, we had many such moments around our home/car when the kids were first reading.

  4. You must have burst out laughing! Soooo cute!
Mycelia is just starting to read, so what I hear from the back of the seat is mostly, "Stop Mom! That sign says stop" and "Mama, what does B-U-M-P spell?"
